Gold Vermeil
Our vermeil (pronounced “ver-may”) jewellery is made of 925 sterling silver and plated with a thick layer of gold. In order to be considered vermeil, this coating needs to have a thickness of at least 2.5 microns, and the gold used must be at least 10-karats in purity. We go the extra mile, and gild all our vermeil jewellery using 5 microns of 18-karat solid gold, a coating that is 100% thicker than the industry standard.
Fun Fact: The White House in the US has a room called The Vermeil Room, with all the accents and decor inside all (you guessed it) vermeil. If it's good enough for the White House, home of the President of The United States of America, it's good enough for Deja Vu Apothecary.
